Whether it’s through e-mail, text, in-person, or virtually, communicating effectively is critical for a manager’s ability to perform.  This session covers best practices regarding communication in the modern workplace as well as addressing some pitfalls related to a manager’s communication.  Specifically, we’ll address:

 • When it’s appropriate to use the various types of communication

 • Best practices and risks related to each form of communication

 • Indications that a manager is over-communicating or under-communicating

 • Gauging understanding when communicating

 • Adjusting your communication approach to fit the purpose and the audience

Registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance for the session(s) they engage in.  Participants in at least 4 of the 5 sessions (including the first session) will also receive a Management Essentials Certification.

The fee for all sessions is waived for ASBA-member businesses—our way of supporting your efforts to ensure your business survives and thrives. These trainings are targeted at newer supervisors and managers, or those who might benefit from a refresher on these fundamental management topics.
