Hispanic Community Engagement Specialist
The Hispanic Community Engagement Specialist provides expert marketing outreach and education about Hospice of the Valley programs and services to support professionals and community members in our Hispanic community. Creates digital posts and reels for social media marketing. Provides in-person and virtual presentations to educate the community about all Hospice of the Valley programs, especially the dementia programs and services. This position will also have a special focus on supporting the quality of life for both persons living with dementia and their caregivers.
Responsibilities:
- Provides education about Hospice of the Valley programs, including Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, to community venues, with a special focus on Hispanic professionals and community members.
- Develops and implements a marketing plan for the Hispanic community to educate about Hospice of the Valley services, including dementia programs.
- Provides expert education and support in Spanish language directly to families in consultation with Hospice of the Valley teams and Supportive Care for Dementia Team Leader/Medical Director.
- Monitors and analyzes referral activities and trends and facilitates continuous improvement.
- Utilizes resources effectively and efficiently.
- Maintains and enhances professional skills.
- Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Marketing experience with the Hispanic community.
- Community relations experience with the Hispanic community.
- Knowledge base of marketing, community outreach, and digital marketing experience.
- Understanding of community resources for persons with dementia, including those related to financial benefits.
- Knowledge of and connections with Hispanic communities in the Phoenix metropolitan area and, in particular, with agencies, churches and locations where Hispanic community members gather for activities, socializing, services and programming.
