Wednesday, July 22, 2020 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (MST)

Description

Session 4: Managing Employee Performance: Engaging Top Performers and Coaching Bottom Performers

The core function of a supervisor or manager is leading employees.  Managers who struggle with this foster environments with poor organizational results, expensive turnover, weak engagement, higher absenteeism, and the list goes on.  During this fast-paced look at this fundamental management skill, we’ll cover:

 • Coaching and developing top performers to increase retention and engagement

 • Coaching and developing poor performers to protect the organization and encourage performance improvements

 • The differences between addressing poor performance and misconduct

 • Best practices for administering employee performance reviews and providing feedback

 • How to treat employees consistently and professionally while managing their performance

Registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance for the session(s) they engage in.  Participants in at least 4 of the 5 sessions (including the first session) will also receive a Management Essentials Certification.

The fee for all sessions is waived for ASBA-member businesses—our way of supporting your efforts to ensure your business survives and thrives. These trainings are targeted at newer supervisors and managers, or those who might benefit from a refresher on these fundamental management topics.
