The Funky Latina Music Festival is Arizona’s first and only Latin indie music festival. The event is organized by Elyssa Bustamante, "The Funky Latina" herself, with a mission to showcase up and coming Latinx artists from a variety of genres. 

Elyssa Bustamante stated: “As a music blogger, I have interviewed dozens of up and coming Latinx musicians. They all have different backgrounds, fascinating stories, and unique talents. Unfortunately, there are limited music festival opportunities for these rising artists. And that’s why I created The Funky Latina Music Festival–to showcase rising Latinx artists. 

The event features musicians with diverse sounds such as: funk, soul, alternative, rock, and pop music. Latinx diversity is our superpower. And that’s what we are celebrating at the The Funky Latina Music Festival.
