Description

University of Phoenix's Office of Military & Veterans Affairs and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are partnering with the UOPX chapter of the National Society of Leadership & Success to sponsor " The Six Triple Eight: No Mail, Low Morale."

The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion was the only all-black, all female Women's Army Corps (WAC) battalion sent to Europe during World War II. The 6888th had 855 women, both enlisted and officers, and was led by Major Charity Adams Earley. The group was nicknamed "Six Triple Eight" and their motto was "No mail, Low Morale."

This event speaks about leadership, military, diversity, and overcoming race and gender stereotypes.
