Women in Journalism 

The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) is proud to present the 11th Annual Power of the Purse. The event highlights the interests of women-owned (especially minority- and Latina-owned) small to mid-sized businesses in Arizona. The Power of the Purse was launched in 2012 and hosted nearly 400 virtual attendees in 2021. 

This year, we highlight Women in Journalism, focusing on the challenges women face in this everchanging industry. You will hear from top local journalists in Arizona as they share experiences, advice, and work. The goal of this year's event is to share how journalists help share more diverse and inclusive stories to better serve our communities.

Due to the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases, we have made the difficult decision to reduce in-person attendees. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees.
