This year, Chicanos Por La Causa and Chicanos Por La Causa Action Fund launched a historic Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign in Arizona. 

CPLC invites you to a FREE CONCERT on October 29th to celebrate the power of your vote! 

Your vote is important. Your vote is powerful. Your vote could decide who will be our next senator, governor, secretary of state, or which ballot measures become legislation.  

Join us at our free concert at Ak-Chin Pavilion. This all-ages show is open to the public just before the general election featuring four Latin bands: 

•    Chicano Batman: A four-piece, LA-based band that is a mix of genres ranging from psychedelic soul, funk, indie, prog, and rock. 

•    La Sonora Dinamita: A cumbia group from El Salvador, credited with helping popularize the genre throughout Latin America and the world. 

•    La Santa Cecilia (named after the patron saint of musicians): A Latin Grammy Award-winning, LA-based band that plays a blend of cumbia, bossa nova, and boleros, among other styles. 

•    Orkesta Mendoza: A Tucson band founded by singer-guitarist Sergio Mendoza in 2009. Dubbed "indie mambo", their style is a combination of ranchera, cumbia, psychedelic, and indie rock.   

Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the concert starts at 7:00 pm. No ticket is required. We hope to see you there!
